Twenty-two-year-old Akyn Turkoglu set out to lose weight in hopes that his beloved’s family would take their relationship more seriously. At the beginning of his journey, he weighed nearly 300 kilograms.
To achieve his goal, Akyn overhauled his diet, replacing unhealthy foods with more nutritious options. He also became mindful of calorie intake, cutting out fast food entirely. However, engaging in physical activity was a challenge for him, so he started with something simple—walking.
Determined to succeed, Turkoglu began walking nearly 25 kilometers daily. He gave up using transportation and even stopped driving his own car to stay active. His dedication paid off, as he managed to shed over 200 pounds.
Despite his incredible transformation, Akyn’s efforts weren’t enough to win over his beloved’s family, who still did not see him as a suitable match for their daughter.
