She Cried: A Grandmotherâs Emotional Reunion with Her Late Husbandâs Jeep
âI worked tirelessly to restore my Loloâs 1975 Jeep CJ5, which had been sitting in Bacolod since the day he bought it. After years of effort, I finally got it running again and transported it to Manila.
Today, I drove it to my 93-year-old Lolaâs house so she could see it back in action. Iâve never seen her so overwhelmedâjoyful, excited, and heartbroken all at once.
Tears welled up in her eyes as she whispered, âYour Lolo used to take me to the farm in this Jeep. We had to cross the Bago River twice just to get there. He would sit here, and I sat right beside him.â
At that moment, the past came rushing back to her, and she wept. I couldnât hold back my own tears either.
Love never truly fadesâit lives on in the memories we cherish.
