My husband refuses to let me spend much time in the bathroom. He insists that “normal” people only need 10 to 15 minutes. Whenever I stay longer, he accuses me of pretending to shower while secretly texting or calling other men. He even listens at the door and bangs on it if he thinks he hears anything “suspicious.”
One evening, after a long and exhausting day at work, I took about half an hour to shower and unwind. He grew impatient and shouted, “What’s taking you so long?” I told him I was almost done, but he didn’t believe me. Then he tried to remove the door and started picking the lock.
What happened next shocked me — he burst into the bathroom with his phone, recording me. Luckily, I was already dressed. He claimed he was trying to catch me cheating and needed the footage as proof. I can’t take this anymore! How can I make him understand that his behavior is far from normal?
