Even the smallest things can brighten our days, filling our routines with meaning and bringing smiles when we least expect them. Sometimes all it takes is a little imagination, a simple wish, and something as ordinary as a pencil and a sheet of paper.
Writing neatly isn’t easy when you’re only seven years old—but that’s nothing to worry about, because Dad can always tidy up the scribbles. Luckily, the child only attempted two short words: “open” and “dad.” There’s also a little heart drawn beside them, like a sweet, simple encouragement saying, “Keep going!”
“Almost there,” Dad might say, “but we still need to practice our handwriting.”
