Donna began her letter by saying, “I’ve been married to my husband, Josh, who is 40, for more than 13 years. For most of that time, our life together was calm and loving. But there was always one dark cloud hanging over us — my mother-in-law.” She continued, “From the very first day I met Theresa, there was tension between us. I always had the feeling that one day everything would explode.”
And explode it did — in a way Donna says she never could have imagined.
For over a decade, Donna and her mother-in-law clashed constantly. “She criticized everything about me — my looks, my cooking, even my intelligence,” Donna wrote. Then, after yet another heated argument, Theresa finally crossed a line that would change everything.
