My husband’s 19-year-old daughter refuses to move out of our home, even though she’s old enough to live independently. Since both her father and I work full-time, I asked her to help out by watching our two-year-old in exchange for staying with us. She snapped back, saying she wasn’t my “free babysitter” and had her own life. My husband didn’t say a word.

The following day, I came home and went to check on my baby—only to find the crib empty and the house deserted. Terrified, I called my husband. He told me he had rented a small studio apartment and had moved in with his daughter after I supposedly “kicked her out.” He said I could come pick up our child, but he was staying with his daughter because she had no one else.

I was furious and told him his daughter was acting entitled and treating my home like a free place to stay. It’s been a week since he left, and he still hasn’t come back. I have no idea what to do next.
