We can all learn something from this little girl’s story.
This little girl shows that if you really want to, you can do anything, no matter how hard it is.
Today, we’re going to tell you about a young gymnast named Paige Calendine. She was born without legs, but she has done very well in the sport despite that.
But this hobby turned into something bigger over time. She is now eight years old and on the gymnastics team at Ohio State. She said, “I feel like gymnastics is my calling. I’m not going to stop doing it. I want to keep training, coming up with programs, and competing in sports».
But the most important thing is support from family, coaches, and even teammates.
Paige also enjoys archery, swimming, and cheerleading, in addition to gymnastics. Her parents make sure to take her to all of her favorite activities on time, and they love how much she smiles. Paige is so young, but she is already seriously thinking about joining the Paralympics.
By the way, Liliya Podkopayeva, a two-time Olympic champion from Ukraine in Atlanta in 1996, met Paige at the Arnold Gymnastics Challenge in the US.
“Paige is an inspiration to all of us because she doesn’t let her physical problems get in the way of her goals and love of gymnastics,” Podkopayeva said on her Instagram page, along with a picture of the two of them.
“It’s great that this strong little girl is doing well,” said her dad.
“What an intelligent girl.”
“Oh my goodness, it makes me cry. The girl has a lot of willpower.»
“Yes, baby, go ahead and don’t be scared! Everything is going to work out! In the comments, Liliya Podkopaeva’s fans praised the girl.
