The men of the a cappella group Home Free sing “God Bless the USA” with Lee Greenwood and the United States Air Force Band.

Lee Greenwood first put out the song “God Bless the USA” in 1984. He always wanted to write a song about his country, and when Korean Air Lines Flight 007 was shot down, he knew it was time to bring the country together.

It did well on the country charts, but it didn’t become a cultural phenomenon until the September 11 attacks.

“And I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free. I won’t forget the men who died to give me that right.”

The fourth season of The Sing-Off was won by the American a cappella group Home Free. Home Free has been making music for years. Its members are Austin Brown, Rob Lundquist, Adam Rupp, Tim Foust, and Adam Chance.

Today, they are singing “God Bless the USA” with the famous singer Lee Greenwood and the United States Air Force Band.

“And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today, because there’s no doubt I love this land. God bless the U.S.A.”

Even though our country is going through hard times, we can take comfort in the fact that we are all God’s children and He loves each and every one of us. God will bless our land and show us the way if we stand together.
