She took him in and raised him along with her daughters. At first, there was no plan for Michael to be adopted. Instead, it was thought that he would eventually be reunited with his birth mother.
But in the end, she lost her right to be a parent.
In an interview with the Huffington Post, Michael Brown’s adoptive mother, Tara Montgomery, said, “At first, as a single mother, I didn’t think about adoption.
But Michael made me change my mind. I’ve always felt like he was a part of our family. When he wakes up in the morning, he comes to me and says, “Mom, I’m so happy.”
