A heartwarming video capturing the joyous moment of a baby hearing his mother’s voice for the first time with a hearing aid is melting hearts across the nation.
Sara Clark, the mother of 10-month-old Arlo Clark, filmed the touching interaction. As she greets Arlo, his face lights up with a wide smile and a delightful giggle upon hearing her voice. With each greeting, Arlo’s surprised expression adds to the charm of the moment.
“Hi!” Sara says to Arlo, who responds with an infectious smile and giggle upon hearing his mom’s voice. When Sara repeats the greeting, Arlo’s shocked expression adds an adorable touch to the interaction.
Arlo, partially deaf in both ears, was recently fitted with a hearing aid. Sara recalls, “The moment I saw that he could hear my voice I had tears in my eyes. I wasn’t expecting him to be able to hear me at all. I couldn’t believe that at last he could hear me.”
Hailing from Worcestershire, England, Sara shares that initially, Arlo seemed shocked, but as she continued talking to him, he began giggling and smiling. Sara and her husband have longed to sing to Arlo and share those “special” newborn moments, and now that he can hear, they feel as though they finally have him fully in their lives.
