Little Moon’s rise to social media stardom highlights the challenges of raising a unique child. Her mother shared the difficulties they faced, including insensitivity from both real-life interactions and online comments.

Little Moon had a prominent birthmark, referred to scientifically as a “melanocytic nevus,” which attracted unwanted attention and hurtful remarks, including calling her a “monster.”

American experts advised immediate treatment, which would require approximately 80 surgeries to completely remove the birthmark, nicknamed the “Batman spot.”

However, unexpected help arrived when doctors from a clinic in Krasnodar volunteered their services after seeing Little Moon’s story on social media. The family took a chance, hoping for better treatment for Luna.

Through multiple surgeries, skin grafts from other parts of her body were used to improve Little Moon’s condition. Her progress has been remarkable, and soon she may no longer be distinguished from other children her age.
