Armani Milby, the daughter of Chelsey from Kentucky, was born with a rare condition that caused severe swelling in her arms and chest, giving her the appearance of a bodybuilder. Despite a rocky start and significant medical challenges, Armani has shown incredible resilience, and her prognosis continues to improve with planned treatments.

Chelsey recalls the difficulties since Armani’s birth but remains hopeful. The condition, identified at 17 weeks of pregnancy, was diagnosed as a severe case of lymphangioma, characterized by benign tumors and excessive swelling.

Doctors initially gave Armani no chance of survival, but she defied the odds, born prematurely at 33 weeks and weighing 12 pounds. Chelsey’s pronounced pregnancy even led others to believe she was expecting triplets. The diagnosis left Chelsey shocked and uncertain, but Armani’s fighting spirit provided comfort and hope.

After surgeries to reduce fluid accumulation, Armani gained the affectionate nickname “Squishy” due to her excess skin, which doctors expect will normalize over time. Now nine months old, Armani continues to prepare for another surgery. Despite ongoing challenges, Chelsey remains optimistic and focused on her daughter’s progress.

Chelsey has faced her struggles, including postpartum depression, but finds strength in Armani’s milestones, such as her growth and development. Watching Armani thrive brings Chelsey immense joy and hope, and she looks forward to hearing her daughter’s first words.

Grateful for her “miracle baby,” Chelsey cherishes Armani’s progress and remains hopeful for a bright and healthy future for her family.
