Before Meghan Markle even considers returning to the United Kingdom, she has one non-negotiable condition for Prince Harry.
A royal expert shed light on the couple’s journey, explaining how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex tied the knot in 2018 and initially resided in England. However, by 2020, they made the pivotal decision to step down from their senior roles within the royal family.
Shortly after, they relocated from their Windsor home to an opulent mansion in California. Once settled in the U.S., the couple decided to make it their permanent residence, with Harry even renouncing his UK citizenship.
Harry reportedly vowed never to return with Meghan and their children, citing concerns about safety and the relentless media scrutiny that, in his view, had echoes of how his mother, Princess Diana, was pursued.
Since then, Meghan’s stance on returning to the UK has remained firm. According to reports, she is unwilling to step foot back in the country unless one key demand is met.
Her primary concern revolves around Harry having a secure residence in the UK. Additionally, she has insisted on an adequate level of security, a demand she has repeatedly emphasized.
Royal expert and author Tom Quinn claims that Meghan has outlined a list of conditions, and until they are fulfilled, she sees no reason to return.
As for staying with Harry’s family, that is completely out of the question for Meghan.
