Jackie Johnson-Smith encountered an unexpected and heartwarming gesture while dining with her family at a pizza restaurant in Iowa.
Sharing a photo of the restaurant receipt on Facebook, she reflected on her journey as a mother: “I’ve breastfed three children. I’ve been there for them in countless situations—whether in public or private, through moments of joy and struggle. I’ve faced many stares and judgment, but tonight was different. Tonight erased all negativity.”
It was her first time dining at Fong’s, and after soothing her fussy baby, she stepped away briefly to avoid disturbing other patrons.
When their waitress handed her husband the receipt, Jackie was initially taken aback, unsure of what to expect. But as she read the message, she was overwhelmed with emotion.
The final words on the note affirmed a powerful sentiment: “It’s amazing how women can support and uplift one another.”
