She Hired a Nanny—Then Found Lingerie Photos of Her on Her Husband’s Phone
A 28-year-old new mother turned to Reddit for advice after discovering a shocking twist in her family life that left her questioning everything.

After giving birth to her daughter Cassie and returning to work as a psychologist, she and her husband Alex (35) decided to hire a nanny. Since she’s originally from France but now living in the U.S., they needed someone reliable. A coworker of Alex recommended his 20-year-old daughter, Liv, who had recently dropped out of college.
At first, everything seemed fine. Liv bonded with Cassie quickly and was great with her. But something didn’t sit right. The woman noticed Liv seemed a little too interested in Alex—flirty, giggly, and overly familiar. Still, she brushed it off, feeling confident in herself and her marriage.
That all changed one Thursday night.

While helping Alex with something on his phone as he bathed their daughter, the woman saw something she couldn’t unsee—provocative, lingerie-clad selfies sent by Liv. Shocked, she scrolled further and found that Liv had been sending these kinds of images for a while.
Alex claimed he never responded and that the messages were harmless. But when she pressed him for answers, he got defensive, accusing her of using her psychologist “tricks” on him. The argument escalated, waking the baby. That was the last straw.

She packed a bag for him and told him to leave.
His mother and friends called her, accusing her of overreacting—but she stood firm, feeling disrespected and betrayed. Seeking space and support, she took her daughter back to France to be with her family.
Once there, her family rallied around her and helped her make a big decision: she wasn’t going back. She returned to the U.S. briefly, settled custody arrangements, and made it clear—she was the primary caregiver and would be moving permanently to France with Cassie.
Alex hoped she would eventually forgive him and let him back in. But she had made up her mind.
No more games. No more doubts. Just her, her daughter, and a fresh start.
