Never discount what a child does or how they feel, because they can often tell us a lot more than we think.
Most of the time, they are the ones who get us to think about things we hadn’t thought about before.
Often, we hear stories about children who do wonderful acts of kindness and generosity that not all adults would be able to do.
Daniel Medina can be very proud of his kids, who asked him to stop at the exact moment they saw a man in a wheelchair struggling to clear snow from his driveway while they were in their car.
Daniel Medina was driving his two kids home through the snowy and icy streets of Wisconsin, USA, when the kids suddenly asked to stop. The two boys, who were 6 and 10 years old, had seen a man in a wheelchair struggling to clear the snow from his driveway. Like two little boy scouts, the kids felt like they had to go help the stranger right away.
Even if it’s very cold and snowing, they have to help someone who needs it.
Daniel took a picture of the moment his children helped the man in the wheelchair clear snow from his driveway. He wrote, “Proud fatherly moment: we are driving down S60th St near Morgan and my two sons, ages 10 and 6, ask me to stop because they saw a man in a wheelchair trying to clear his driveway and wanted to help him.”
We can see why Daniel was so proud of his kids. Anyone in his position would have thought he was doing a great job as a parent.
If they are so caring and willing to help others at such a young age, we know they will be great people when they grow up.
